I just saw August Rush for the first time, and, WOW!!!!!! If you haven’t seen this, go here. This movie just confirmed what I already knew about music, that if you let it, it can move and shape you in ways nothing else can. I realized a few years ago, that music when used rightly is the key that can open doors, the ram that breaks walls, and the heat that melts hearts. There is a “sound” that is within all of us. This is a sound of hunger, expectancy, longing, yearning, and depth. I’ve heard this sound from myself and a generation of people that are tired of what we know and ready for what we know is out there. This “sound” is not just music, not just notes, and not just a voice. For those of us who believe in the prophetic voice, we know that the Lord is wanting to release the “sound” of His heart to those who can hear. Once we hear His heartbeat, we can then reach a people who are tired, hungry, lonely, and searching for more. I know I went a little deep with this just from a movie, but it is time we hear His heartbeat.
